A week ago last Friday, in an ongoing effort to recruit talented young organizers, IAF East staff held a workshop for individuals interested in pursuing an organizing career. Over 45 potential organizers attended this much anticipated event.
Action In Montgomery (AIM) is a broad, faith-based community organizing group in Montgomery County, Maryland. 32 congregations, representing over 31,000 residents, are currently members of AIM. AIM is afilliated with the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF), the oldest and largest community organizing network in the United States.
