On Thursday, 10/20/22, 645 people joined together at Ark and Dove Presbyterian Church in Odenton, MD and online for a substantive conversation with candidate for Governor, Wes Moore, and Comptroller, Brooke Lierman.

Since Oct. 2021, AIM has conducted listening sessions with 1,500+ people who reside, worship, and work in Montgomery County. This agenda was formed by AIM leaders working in issue action teams to identify common themes in listening session stories, and how we can work together in 2022-2025 to address these issues.

For our January Delegates' Meeting, AIM leaders read about civil rights leader Ella Baker—the "Mother of the Civil Rights Movement"—and her model of collective leadership. We discussed Ella Baker's "confidence in the wisdom of ordinary people" and the hard work it takes to build a movement.
