she/her
As the Climate Equity Policy Fellow for the Maryland Just Power Alliance, Amber supports our climate equity campaigns by providing strategic policy analysis and research and supporting the work of our Climate Equity Team.
Amber first started at AIM as the Co-Chair of the Climate Equity Team, serving first with the network geothermal pilot project at Northwest Park Apartments and then working with the team to secure nearly $73 million for energy efficient heat pumps and induction stoves for low- and moderate-income households across Maryland. She holds a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's in Environmental Communication from Berry College.
She has previously worked for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation conducting outreach, policy interpretation, and training; for the Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Educators as a program administrator; and for Centre Region Parks and Recreation as a manager (lovingly identified as her Leslie Knope phase). She lives in Montgomery County with her husband where they enjoy going dancing, walking in local parks, and playing board and video games.
